Albania is a small, releasable nation in Southeastern Europe out to the Adriatic Sea. It has Albanian as its primary culture and no other accepted cultures. At the beginning of the game the 
Ottoman Empire can release it.
It is in good position to colonize in Africa and Asia. Ottomans can and often will be useful ally and will most likely sphere Albania as long as Ottomans actually stay a Great Power. Problem is literacy, which is very low for European Nation, combined with getting Ottomans lackluster starting techs when released. Promoting 
clergy to 4% is key to success, and should be prioritized immediately.
Despite having a South Slavic culture, it cannot form 
Yugoslavia and is not needed for the formation either.
One can use an alliance with the Ottoman Empire to attack 
Egypt to get a foothold in Africa.
