Crimea is a small, releasable nation in Southeastern Europe. Crimea is located south of 
Russian-controlled 
Ukraine, and borders Russia. To the south of Crimea, across the Black Sea, lies the 
Ottoman Empire, another Great Power.
Crimea is unique in the sense that is starts off as an uncivilized nation when released, making it the only uncivilized nation in Europe. Crimea is a challenging nation to play as, because not only is it surrounded by two Great Powers, it must also westernize in order to catch up to the rest of Europe.
There is no natural target for expansion as everyone around them are either a Great power or in a sphere of influence. One have to look very far to find a suitable target. It could e.g. be south east Asian or North African nations. On the other hand, there is not any major threats either except a potentially Independent Ukraine. Usually Crimea will just be yet another Nation in Russias Sphere of Influence, which the player should also strife for early in the game. Crimea will be in no position to attack them anyway.
