Repeal Prohibition is a general decision available to all civilized nations, related to the decision Liquor Prohibition. Alcohol is once again made legal in the country. It requires that the nation has taken the decision Liquor Prohibition. In turn, that decision be taken, when the country has researched Social Science. On top of that it requires that the event Temperance League has happened, and that the player has taken the option An excellent Initiative!.
There is like the previous decision a list of political conditions, where at least one of them has to be present:
- below 20% of the POPs think moralism is important
- below 50% of the POPs are liberal, or
- the goventment type is a dictatorship, either Proletarian Dictatorship, Fascist Dictatorship, Bourgeois Dictatorship or Presidential Dictatorship. Monarchies doesn't count.
The decision will remove the effects of Liquor prohibition, but will not do anything else. The effects of that decision are: It decreases tax efficiency by 5% and gives 0.05 militancy pr. month for the entire population.
From a strategic point of view, it is an alright decision, but since liquor Prohibition is so bad, if the player has taken the decision, you are past thinking about strategic advantages and only do it for roleplaying purposes.
