'''Model Colony''' is a major [[event]] that can happen to all [[civilized]] nations, that owns at least one colony.

It requires that there is no revolts in the country and that [[budget|administration spending, education spending and military spending]] is at least 60%.

It has a [[mean time to happen]] of 1500 months (150 years). There is a lot of decrease the mean to time happen:

* If average [[militancy]] is below 4, it is decreased by {{green|10%}}
* If average [[consciousness]] is below 4, it is decreased by {{green|10%}}
* If [[literacy]] is over 70%, it is decreased by {{green|10%}}
* If [[budget|education spending]] is above 90%, it is decreased by {{green|10%}}
* If [[budget|administration spending]] is above 90%, it is decreased by {{green|10%}}
* If [[budget|military spending]] is above 90%, it is decreased by {{green|10%}}

The MTTH can also be decreased in a number of ways:
* If [[militancy]] is above 4, it is increased by {{red|50%}}
* If [[consciousness]] is above 4, it is increased by {{red|50%}}

The state of affairs in the colonies does not actually have any effect on the event.

The event gives the country {{green|10}} [[prestige]] {{green|0.2}} years worth of [[research]] points and decreases [[militancy]] and [[consciousness]] of all [[POPs]] in a random state by {{green|4}}.
