[[Bundelkhand]] is one of the {{flag|India}}n princily states. It lies in the center of India bordering {{flag|Orissa}} and {{flag|Nagpur}}. It is a [[puppet]] of {{flag|United Kingdom}} and therefore it cannot engage in war on its own. That makes it hard to westernize as conquest is usually the most effective way to westernize.
If the country is controlled by the AI, it can be annexed by the [[event]] [[The Doctrine of Lapse]]. There is not anything the country can do to prevent it, but it cannot happen to the player.

Bundelkhand holds [[cores]] on three provinces which [[UK]] controls at the start of the game: Allahabad, Benares and Gorakhpur. If Bundelkhand actually manages to achieve full independence, they might retake them either by [[crisis]] or conquest.
